Archery is the art, practice, or skill of propelling arrows with the use of a bow , from Latin arcus. Archery has historically been used for hunting and combat; in modern times, however, its main use is that of a recreational activity. A person who participates in archery is typically known as an "archer" or "bowman", and one who is fond of or an expert at archery can be referred to as a "toxophilite":
It was the St. Andrew's day. As for me, I like
it because of its delicious varenyky. They are a kind of stuffed dumpling
associated with Ukrainian cuisine. So that evening I had a nice supper with my
family. Moreover at my school was a charity fair, where everyone could buy
delicious homemade dishes. But I don't want to focus your attention at food.
I'd like to tell you a few words about my preparations for holidays that day.
Recently I had bought a few Christmas balls and I decided to decorate them with
holiday pictures and wishes for my friends. I think it would be great holiday
gifts.
This how I have spent my day.

Ukrainian Easter bread or paska(which means Easter) is
a slightly sweet egg bread that can be decorated with religious symbols. It's
taken to church on Easter morning in a special basket with other foods to be
blessed. Slovaks also serve paska at Easter but this is not to be confused with
the molded Easter cheese dessert of the same name. Ukrainians also feature
babka for Easter but instead of the fluted shape favored by the Poles, theirs
looks more like a Russian kulich.

Here you can find the recipe of the traditional scotland meal Abernethy Biscuits. Surprisingly, Abernethy biscuits do not get their name from the town in Perthshire but from a Dr Abernethy who suggested the addition of caraway seeds and sugar to plain biscuits. And of course a "biscuit" in America is a "cookie"! It is really special meal, I ate it only once in my life. But it was so delisious ! ! ! http://www.rampantscotland.com/recipes/blrecipe_abernethy.htm

Edinburgh is known around the world as the Scottish capital and is popular for having uniquely blended the modern and ancient Scottish atmosphere in a single region. Also known as the auld reekie, the town has a population of one million and is visited by almost four times that amount in a year by people who wish to experience the wonderful Scottish history and architecture. The following lines provide information on things which can be done when spending holidays in Edinburgh. http://www.edinburgh.org/ http://www.travel-library.com/europe/uk/scotland/edinburgh/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edinburgh
The Scottish flag is the cross of St. Andrew, also known as the
Saltire.
It is said to be one of the oldest national flags of any country, dating
back at
least to the 12th century.
The Royal Flag of Scotland
There is a second flag which is associated with Scotland, the "Rampant
Lion",
or Royal Flag of Scotland.
Although based on an older Scottish flag than the St. Andrew's Cross, it
should,
strictly speaking, now only be used by the monarch in relation to her
capacity
as Queen in Scotland¹. However, it is widely used as a second national
flag.
From the gentle rolling hills of Dumfries and Galloway to the
breathtaking peaks of the Cairngorms in the Highlands by way of
Edinburgh's genteel Georgian townhouses, the variety of Scotland's landscapes
never fails to amaze and impress visitors.
Often within a few hours travelling, you can experience a landscape that
changes rapidly from gentle rolling hills to rugged coasts and dramatic,
towering peaks. Vibrant, cosmopolitan cities whose outlook is definitely to the
future rub shoulders with ancient castles and monuments rooted firmly in the
past while the cultural frenzy of the Edinburgh Festival is also within easy
reach of the peace and tranquility of sandy beaches, country parks and
outstanding nature reserves.
